Netflix admitted on Tuesday that Claire Foy who is portraying the role of Queen Elizabeth is paid less than that of her onscreen husband Matt Smith who is playing Prince Philip on the show The Crown

The makers disclosed that this is due to his perceived higher profile. I wonder if Queen Elizabeth get to know that the actress who is portraying her on the show is getting less than the Prince then she will definitely feel bad or it might affect her popularity too.
The 33 years old actress has already quite famous from the British drama Upstairs Downstairs and Wolf Hall, after when she was offered to play the role of Queen on the show.
The actress has even won a lot of awards for her acting skills including the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Emmys and Screen Actors Guild awards. She too was honoured with two Sags and Globe awards.

Suzanne Mackie, one of the members from production of the show told the Jerusalem audience that this difference will be resolved in the third season of the show but even then also it will not benefit her.
The Crown which costs around $7 million per episode has revealed that the are now supplanting new actors in the lead. Claire will be replaced by Olivia Colman and the actor’s replacement is not disclosed yet as if for now.
